Perwoll renewed the most unloved clothes to prove that you can wash your beloved clothes without fear of damage – and nothing is more unloved than the 1.8 million garments in abandoned suitcases in airports around the world. Perwoll reclaimed those forgotten clothes and transformed them into a high-fashion collection, in collaboration with a team of sustainable designers.

Months in advance, we collected abandoned suitcases from several different airports around the world and washed them with Perwoll in order to renew the fabrics. We repurposed every garment found – and gave them a new life and a second chance to be loved on the catwalk… on scratch.

Worn-out trousers were turned into skirts, or bandeau tops with sleeves. Faded pool-towels were reborn as the season’s little black dresses. Shirts were created from anything but shirts – from different ties stitched together.

The entire Perwoll reclaimed collection was unveiled at Copenhagen Fashion Week, at the most fitting location: inside a hangar right at Copenhagen airport.
